Social coordination and the problem of time

On the 12 December 2013 Poul F. Kjær delivered a lecture at the University of Toulon on the problem of time in the coordination of legal, political and economic processes. Departing from the debate between Jürgen Habermas and Niklas Luhmann and the specific understanding of the coordination problems of modern society which emerged from this debate Kjær emphasised the role of law and legal proceduralisation as the key tool for enhancing the probability of societal convergence and coordination.
